Health Guarantee/Replacement Policy 

Vet Invoices/Bills 

Customers must understand the seller (Exclusive Paws LLC.) is not responsible for any vet bills/invoices at any time. Seller does not/will not pay for any vet bills. Any exam performed by a vet belonging to the Banfield network will VOID this guarantee in its entirety due to their reputation of financial abuse of new puppy owners and misdiagnosis. 

Puppy Related Illness 

Customers must also understand that Coccidia and/or Giardia, kennel cough, pneumonia, hypoglycemia, and other related illnesses common in puppies may occur in my puppy from the travel to my home, being in grass, and/or around other puppies and the customer is solely responsible for any vet bills incurred as a result. 

Parvo 

I (Customer) understand, I should not take my puppy anywhere they could come in contact with, or where unvaccinated dogs may have been until 2 weeks after his/her 4-month booster is completed as this could transmit Parvo to my puppy. These areas are potential places where Parvo can be contracted: Areas where dogs are walked 

Dog Parks 

Pet stores 

Vet clinic Floors 

Parking lots 

Near feces of other dogs 


 I understand that puppies could develop Parvo, a deadly/ disease. I understand this puppy has been vaccinated for Parvo and every measure taken to protect my puppy from this virus. I understand that my puppy can still contract parvo from public areas and if this puppy contracts Parvo, the seller (Exclusive Paws LLC) holds no responsibility for any vet bills or death of the puppy resulting from Parvo. 

On-Going Veterinarian Care 

The customer/ new owner must understand the puppy has received proper vaccinations and all de-wormings are up to date as of the date the customer took possession of the puppy. The customer understands they must continue to have the puppy seen by a licensed Veterinarian at the proper intervals throughout the first year of life to maintain the dog’s health. The customer agrees to continue to be up to date on all vaccinations recommended by their Vet during the first year. If the customer/new owner does not continue Veterinarian Care at necessary intervals during the first year of life to ensure the dog’s health, including necessary Vaccinations, the Health Guarantee is Null and Void. 

NOT Covered by the Health Guarantee 

This guarantee DOES NOT cover what in some breeds is considered normal: cherry eye, entropion, "loose" hips, skin allergies, elongated soft palate, teeth alignment, bite alignment, anything cosmetic, coat texture, size of the dog, training abilities, temperament, poison ingested, biting of electrical cords, consumption of prescription or non-prescription drugs, antifreeze, toxic plants, vitamins or ingestion of any substance toxic to animals including food poisoning and eating of bones. 

Any physical problem, which is or could be the result of injury, is not covered under this guarantee. 

The parentage/pedigree is correct to the best of the Seller’s knowledge. The buyer agrees not to hold the Seller responsible in any manner in the unlikely event that a problem might arise from the puppy’s parentage/pedigree. 

There is no guarantee or warranty that the Buyer will be able to show or breed the puppy regardless of show or breeding potentials. 

There will be no replacement puppy if death was the result of abuse, neglect, or accident. I.e. Lawn chemicals can cause seizures in puppies 

Submissive wetting, and/or behavioral problems, and house training abilities, are not covered by this guarantee. The responsibility of the buyer is to train and socialize the puppy and this responsibility starts the moment the puppy is in your possession. 

There is no guarantee the puppy will reach an estimated size as an adult dog. 

There is no warranty given as to its fitness for any special purpose outside of companionship. 

If buyers or sellers veterinarian determines that sickness or death was caused by a hypoglycemic attack brought on by lack of proper care then no replacement puppy will be given 

Seller is not responsible to replace a puppy for any of the following reasons; poisoning ingested, biting of electrical cords, consumption of prescription or non-prescription drugs, antifreeze, toxic plants, vitamins, or ingestion of any substance toxic to animals including food poisoning, lawn chemicals (can cause seizures in puppies), eating of bones, neglect, idiopathic seizures or abuse. 

Covered by Health Guarantee 

The customer understands that this puppy is guaranteed until three years of age against a fatal life-altering congenital disease adversely affecting the health of the animal. This includes severe hip dysplasia which hampers a dog's movement and natural gait and requires surgery to correct, kidney, heart, pancreas, spine, and liver problems of a severe life-threatening nature. 

Procedures if the dog is diagnosed with a congenital or genetic defect during the first three years of life.

A puppy diagnosed by a Veterinarian with any serious life-altering genetic or congenital defect in the first year of life will be replaced as follows: 

The defect must be documented by a licensed Veterinarian on or before the puppy's three-year Birthdate. The seller must be notified of the problem within 3 business days of the licensed veterinarian's determination. The buyer must provide the report from their veterinarian to the seller stating the problem. Upon receipt of the reported seller at their discretion can have the seller’s veterinarian review the assessment of the buyers Vet. 

Upon determination that the dog does qualify under the conditions of the replacement guarantee, the buyer must choose only one of these three options: a) the seller will provide a replacement puppy of equivalent value or b) the seller will refund the buyer the purchase price of the puppy. 

A puppy with a qualified defect must be returned at Buyer’s expense to the seller or with the prior permission of the seller, be euthanized to qualify for a replacement puppy or refund. This guarantee applies to the original owner of the puppy only and is not transferable to a second party. 

No replacement puppy or refund will be given if the puppy has been euthanized without the seller’s permission. 

In the event of the death of a puppy, an autopsy report shall be performed at the buyer's expense to determine the congenital defect if any, and cause of death. The report must be provided before a replacement puppy or refund is given. The breeder is not responsible for any Vet charges or fees in diagnosing or treating any illness or genetic defect. 

The replacement puppy will be provided by the seller out of the next available litter. The replacement puppy will be mutually agreed upon by both parties. It is understood and agreed that the replacement puppy may not be from the exact same parents of the original puppy. 

Environmental Factors Not covered in replacement Guarantee 

There are certain disorders that may be caused by environmental factors, for example, allergies, thyroid dysfunction, demodectic mange, idiopathic seizures, and other autoimmune disorders that are not covered by this guarantee. 

This contract supersedes any and all previous agreements. 

This contract is null and void if the terms and conditions are not fulfilled. 

This contract is written for the protection of the seller, the buyer, and the puppy. 

To the best of the seller’s knowledge, the puppy is in good health at the time of sale. 

Buyer agrees that he/she has read and understands this contract fully and that this contract is under the jurisdiction of the State of Florida in Orange County. It is agreed that the place of venue shall be in Orange County.
